I saw it only fitting that I post this review since it has been nominated as FOTY here on Planetfigure. An astounding kit sculpted by Carl Reid and manufactured by Model Cellar Productions. This 9 part bust depicts a British Tommy trying to warm his hands while in the trenches of WWI.

Packaged in a sturdy brown cardboard box with 8 out of the 9 parts sealed inside a plastic bag the bag is then wrapped in bubble wrap to protect it during shipping. The bust plinth is cushioned between the wrapped bag and many pieces of styro-foam pop corn.

The bottom photo above shows the parts laid out for inspection.

The above hat is cast separately from the head and dry-fitting them together was perfect.

Above we see the separate right and left arm which dry-fitted perfectly into each respective socket at the shoulder of the bust. No filling needed here.

Above is the centerpiece of the bust. His right and left hand clasped together with cut-away mittens on. These hands fit right into each arm socket at the wrist.

Above we see the four sides of the bust plinth showing the barb wire wrap around the front. Very appropriate since he is in the Trenches of WWI.

Conclusion:
An outstanding kit from Model Cellar. Its an almost "out of the box and paint" as there is no flash, seams or casting blocks to remove. All parts dry-fitted perfectly. Outstanding engineering by Paul of Model Cellar. Highly recommended plus.
