Hi all this is a new bust for Gordon Mitchel and as you can see it depicts an Officer of 17th Lancers Crimea. Couple of things to do and wants cleaning up etc.
Cracking piece. The arm thing is to do with the angle of the camera and shadow cast under the arm. If you look at the second photo from the back it looks full as it should be.
its a stable jacket this one was worn in the charge by Lietenant sir william Gordon. its got sabre cuts all over it. Its in the National army museum collection and was a well known and popular form of dress for officers.
Few alterations with the Arm and more work on the cap, have changed the studs on the jacket which in reality were much smaller and a lot more of them. Thanks for the input.
