WIP - 54mm wignetee "Grivitsa is Ours"

Hi all Planetters

After a long time I bring something from my current work...

In 1877, during the Russo-Turkish war, combined Russo-Romanian army besieged Bulgarian town Plevna defended by the Ottoman army. The city was occupied after almost five months besieging. The surrender of Plevna became a turning point in the progression of this conflict.

When the city was under siege, attacks on the Grivita redoubt were part of it. Upcoming vignette is a small episode of an attack of Romanian infantry due to which this part of the fortifications fell.


The scene shows the struggle of a Romanian Infantry jaeger with some Turkish soldier who is protecting standard. Their duel can be seen in the teaser. This vignette is inspired by the painting "The Conquest of Grivitsa Redoubt" by Henryk Dembitzky

Hi Keith. Thanks for the praise At the moment this is a non-comercial sculpt for Nicolaos. However, if find enough candidates interested , Nicolaos would like to release this vignette as a commerciall. If anyone would be interested of this piece, send a PM to Nicolaos ...
