Hello Gents

Here are a few images of US Tanker. This figure will be

Taesung, That has got to be the BEST figure you have ever done. The folds and other drapery effects have to be among the most realistic I've ever seen. BIGGER pictures please.~Gary

Beautiful work Taesung, the natural pose and accuracy of the clothing is wonderful....
The guys with a taste for these subjects are getting spoilt profusely.... :)

All the best....Roy.

Thanks for the (too) kind words, guys!
The figure still needs little details here and there.

Taesung, the words are not TOO kind, they are well deserved. Again, IMHO this is your best.~Gary

P.S.,Thanks for the bigger pictures. :)

Great pose, great "static" movement, great folds, great feeling = great figure (y) (y) (y)
Is it WW2????

Thanks guys... :)
Gordy,
I use Aves Apoxy mixed with black vallejo paint.

I hope I will be able to post pics of my new figures
soon... all painted.

Geez Taesung, did you sculpt this with your other hand? What a dog! LOL Great work as usual of course, love the drapery and the fine details are fabulous - those laces  This is so nicely done I don't like the subject and I'd still want one!

I know you won't get a swelled head from the (well deserved) praise so to balance it out one small point, the forefinger and thumb of the right hand looks a smidge thick.

Can't wait to see it painted up (y)

Taesung - Another great figure. You make WW2 stuff look interesting. Any chance you'll be doing some 'exotic' WW2 figures in the future. There are some great things out there that would be just brilliant. Keep up the great work.

Hello Gents
Thanks for the comments and compliments. :)

Einion,
It's always good to hear from other sculptors.
I had some trouble with making hands on this
figure. My wife finally pointed out that the right
hand looked bigger than the left. I think it looks
okay now. As for the thickness, I'll look into it
tonight (I sculpt at night...).

Alpine's 1/35 figs are mostly for AFV modellers.
That's why I make tankers most of the time.
However, I'm coming out with 1/16 line soon.
It will feature more interesting WW2 subjects.

It's about the time for you to show us the progress images
of the young SS grenadier. :)

Taesung, great to see you again even if it's only here on the net. I really like this guy. Up to your usual standards with the pose, wrinkles and drapery. Another Alpine fig for my collection ;) . Gotta question for you. I saw your SS figure and was wondering, with a lot of your figures geared towards armor, if you are getting ready to do a set for the ever popular DML Tiger I Late? I really bang up fig set would go nicely with this kit. Maybe even a Wittman crew with different heads so you can do them as a different crew if you don't like/want to do Wittman's Rides? Not sure how you feel about likenesses :( . By the way, are we gonna see some airborne figs or what?

Jim Patrick

While I'm thinking about it, are you interested in doing some modern Army figs with the new ACU's? (the Army digital pattern) I can get LOTS of reference for ya. Shoot me an e mail if your'e interested.

I agree with Ross. WW2 is not my bag but you have been making them extremely appealing.

Keep up the GREAT work!

Jason
