This is only my second bust. I'm trying a new method for the flesh that I wanted to post to get some feedback. Basically, I paint a layer of acrylic flesh (in this case, Reaper Tan Flesh). Then I paint on Burnt Umber and then wipe it off so it stays in the creases and stains the acrylic in a thin layer of oil. Then I start highlighting with Titanium White and putting in shadows with Burnt Sienna. I add a little Vermilion to the area around the ears, below the cheekbones and the sides of the nose. Then I add a little Blue Black to the beard area. In order to age Patton a bit, I used a bit of Flesh Ochre on the highest highlights.
