Words of wisdom for painters

During my 4 years at the Milwaukee Institue of Art & Design, I was given one golden nugget of advice:

"it takes 2 painters to work on a painting (figure), one who paints it and the other who tells him when to stop..."

I would like to add to that - when studying 3D Design at North Staffs Polytechnic many years ago, I was given the advice that " it is easier to get rid of a hill than get rid of a hollow!"

Steve, strip or hill top miners here in the US solved that by mining the hill and using it to fill the hollow.
