I think, this is Mustafa Kemal "Ataturk", the later founder of modern Turkey (whose work is currently being destroyed again!), who commanded the 19th Division of the 5th Army, who was stationed on the peninsula at the Gallipoli War Memorial, in 1915, and was one of the main initiators of the Turkish Fight!

His original Uniform from that time is now to be seen at museum...:

The Symbol at the base ist the Ottoman Order "Gallipoli Star", an Order für all German and Turkish soldiers figthing there...:

Cheers

Thanks for the info, Martin, but this is intended as a Turkish field officer which can be finished with either the Enveriye hat or the Kolpak lambswool cap in any arm of service, rather than a personality bust. Im flattered that you think it looks sufficiently like Kemal Attaturk, to pass muster!

Martin really do appreciate this info especially Gallipoli star for base.
I'm working on him being an older artillery officer with blue trim to his uniform & head gear. Unfortunately things got in way of getting him done in time for WorldExpo but do highly recommend him as really like Steve's face sculpt on this officer.

Mike,

Absolutely FANTASTIC paint job =))!!! Love the face, love the tunic, the leather holster looks AMAZING!! ... Love everything about it. I can't wait to see it in person.
Next up is the British Lewis Gunner bust ?!?

I will be attending the Long Island show next weekend (note: I will be there Saturday, Nov 18 only). There is a link to the Long Island website and show on MY website (see the events page). I will have castings of the Turk, the Anzac, The Lewis Gunner, the new 1/9 scale Zundapp rider, the recent 1/35 Artillery crew. the new 1/32 RFC Pilot & Lewis Gunner. ...and maybe a few surprises of some brand new upcoming 1/35 figures and a new 1/32 WWI Pilot (personality) sculpted by Mike Good.

Paul

You never fail Mike.
Excellent work on the face and all the different textures.
Cheers, Andrew
Good to hear your feedback Andrew. Nice to add a bit of colour too
Gallipoli was my grandfathers first action. 2nd Lt Ghurkha Rifles at the time. Just got his commission . He survived that and spent the next few years fighting the Turks
Andrew
Appreciate your story of your Granddad's service Andrew - very special.
Pleased to hear this project prompted this memory.
