Hey Paul, welcome. I paint both historical and fantasy figures (bailey03 over on CMON). I haven't posted a lot of my fantasy/sci-fi work here but I did put this 28mm Rackham figure up a while ago and this one from Red Box Games. You do find the occasional warhammer figure here too, though yes this site is probably 80% historical and 20% fantasy/sci-fi. That's a rough estimate so don't quote me on that!

Go ahead and start up a thread in the vBench or Painting sections of the forum (I prefer vBench but either works). You don't need to post the collage images that people use on CMON. Most post several photos of their figures from different angles. Just upload whatever files you have. You can show work in progress or finished figures. Since you mentioned 28mm scale I'm going to start up a thread for one in the vBench shortly. Keep an eye out for it!

It sounds like you're also looking for a step by step description of how to start up a thread. I'll send you a private message with all the boring details.

Thank you very much Bailey...Received, read and wrote down your instructions in regard to my posting on vBench...I will attempt to follow your directions and see what happens...Cross my fingers and hope that I can do it successfully...catdancerLV (Paul).

Hey Paul
I too am a computer dunce but once you post a couple of times it's really easy. The hard part is putting your stuff out there for others to see. I think that you'll find everybody on here to be ultra helpful and nobody will cut up your work in a negative manner. When I look back from my first posts on here to my latest, I can see the progress I've maade and it's thanks to the advice and support of the members here. The first post was the hardest... now I look forward to input and advice from the planet on all my projects.
I like the vBench forum because (1) you can get input on your project as you work and (2) every thread you start on vBench is stored on the vBench tab on your profile page. That makes it easy to find your threads after they get buried on the thread itself.

Give it a go!

Colin

It seems that I am doing something wrong...In my (1st & 2nd) attempt; I clicked on vBench...a page appeared showing many members avatar images...but...nowhere on that page could I find "post new thread" in the upper right of the window...so what am I doing wrong...trying to follow the instructions you sent me via email?

Ah, I see where the confusion is coming from. Don't click on the vBench in the main menu at the top of the page. That's the link to all the user's vBenchs. I know, confusing. Click on Forums, then scroll down to vBench (Works in Progress). Click on that and then you should see the 'post new thread' button.

Again; thank you Bailey...for the correction/adjustment to the instructions. I finished posting (15) of my images on vBench. I just hope that it/they are received with favor and I hope that I am not chastised and/or ridiculed too much for the fact that I only work in the small scale fantasy arena. Thank you again for your very friendly help.
