Hello fellow modellers and painters,

Long time no posting here due to to much projects going on :D
As I am in 'figure painting stage' now I already painted this beautiful Alpine figure, with Hornet head for an upcoming project (being a Tiger I in Normandy)
Painted this one in my usual aproach with Vallejo acrylics, althought I tried a new approach (for me :)) concerning eye painting. Not easy in this scale (1:35)!
Base is temporary, he will be standing on the tank.
Hope you like it

Cheers
Erik

A sharp looking piece Erik! Excellent work on the face. Its difficult to get it looking right in that scale as it is and then it depends on how good the sculpt is. The trousers camo pattern look great as well as the shading on the uniform shirt. (y)

Great facial detail on a small figure. Would be nice to see the figure with the tank and also maybe a little more dirt on the boot and bottom of the trousers assuming that the Tiger will be weathered.

Cheers

Thank you guys, really apprecitate your kind words!:happy:

@Mat; I used to paint eyes (in this scale) mostly at the end of the face painting with just a small stripe of dark brown en a flesh spot either left or right (depending on what he's looking at...) and 'blend' it in a bit.
Now I painted the eyes first after the base coat (and got myself magnifier glasses :woot:) and then carry on with the face. So it's not realy a 'new' technique, but for me it was! Worked out ok, I think :D
@Huw; Yes, he's getting 'dirty' (Normandy, summer = dust) as soon he get's on his tank! Will post here as soon as I get ready; just a small pic though, were here at planet FIGURE :)whistle::D;))

Cheers
Erik

As it's going to take a bit longer before I can finish my Tiger, I decided to put this guy on a simple small base, so he has something to stand on :D Nothing fancy really, but it looks 'nicer' now in my display showcase

Cheers Erik

Edit; didn't noticed he not standing 'right' ; consider it will be done at the time you're reading this;)
