Melanie, Kim & Malc, thank you all I am rather pleased with how this is turning out. Not an entirely new technique to me but one I haven't until now explored very much.

Kim, I'm pleased my ramblings are helpful for you. I probably not the best at explaining things coherently, I put that down to my Yorkshire(ness).

Cheers Simon

My aunt (from near Leeds) used to eat hers dry.
Dry isn't so bad, left overs for Monday breakfast!

My mother used to serve everybody a huge one made in a loaf tin as a starter for a Sunday roast. I now have the loaf tins but not her ability to make good yorkie pubs.

Cheers Simon

I don't know about anyone else but I always feel a sense of anti climax when I finish a figure. Yes I have enjoyed it and pleased it has turned out rather well, but still it's a bit of a let down.

Anyway more pictures over on the completed board in a mo.

Cheers Simon

I know how you feel, as sometimes I react in the same way.
In this case I think you've produced another fine piece of work, and I look forward to
seeing it at the North Surrey show. ......... provided it doesn't snow.
