I too am a massive fan of Charley's War which must rank as the greatest British anti-war comic strip. Absolutely brilliant stuff! Hope to see plenty more scenes - Charley's War certainly has hundreds of great images that are begging to be modelled. Keep it up!

Thank you. Pat Mills has been a life long inspiration and pacifist, a point very much overlooked in the Charley's War comic reviews. For all its brutality Pat always introduced a political and humanist narrative to the writing that can only be fully understood by adults, absorbed by children through comic form as just the way it was. So much excellent writing and imagery in CW, I hope my models capture their essence in some small way.

Oh I getcha, but try to explain that to my lil woman, HA! I told her "someday we may have to eat them Big Dogs", only to get smacked upside the back of the head, lol.

That would be a tough decision for anyone who loves horses, but it can be necessary, unfortunately. We've been through it before ourselves. Great work on the fig and pony.

I've always loved horses. I was lucky to ride them as a kid with friends who owned a stable, even had a go at bare back riding, that was scary as the horse was massive. These days any horse would run a mile if I tried to get on it. :D

Hope your head is better now, Im sure Big Dog stew is a thing lol :D

Working on the 1/35 scenic base for the current mini diorama; set in a graveyard in WW1.

Thank you mate.

What was an hour visit to the shed turned into an eight hour straight messing around building the base. Still have items to paint and add. Like you mentioned, it was fun cutting all the grass and adding sparingly.

After taking the photos added a little diluted oils to vary the darkness of the soil in certain places. :)
