Per Olav, I really like the figure of the child with the stick. I think the only way you could tighten the composition would be to narrow the focus closer to the cockpit and the child with the stick. This probably would entail "cropping" the airplane as well. I'm assuming your aim is to include the entire aircraft. If so I think the composition is as small as it's going to get.~Gary

Hello Guys

Thanks for your feedback!

Marvin, the pole is just for keeping the plane in place during the planning. The main damage to the plane is the broken right wing and some damage to the undercarriage.

Marc, I'll keep you all updated.

Gary, thanks for your tips, I think though I'll stick to the present size. Making groundwork is still my favourite part in modelling

All the best

Hello Per Olav,

I love that child! Very dynamic pose, and making the story obvious emediately. Great stuff!

The composition now looks perfect to me also. I liked the original idea of the rock, but since there will probably already plenty of rocks in it, the trunk is probably the best option indeed. It also gives a better reason for the extreme pose of the child. I guess the metal rod will be another branch on which he is holding?

Are you still going to get this one ready by Euro? :)

Best wishes!

Marijn

Thanks all.

Marijn, nice to hear you like the small changes I did to the lay out. I agree like you said earlier that making the base slighyly smaller will keep more focus on the maine theme in the story.
Yes the rod in the trunk will also be a branch.

I dont know if this is going to be ready by Euro, since I allready got one dio ready to bring (wahlfisch) its not that usual rush to get soemthing ready.

Thanks again guys :)

Cheers

Kenneth  .

Thanks Carlos, Kenneth and Vergilius

Here is an update on the groundwork.
Making a winter scene was a lot more challenging than expected.
The look of the icy water was actually a result after a big fiasco using polyester resin. After pooring resin over the painted surface I changed my mind and started to remove the resin with a big brush, it turned into a big mess and the painted surface started to crack up. After a few panic minutes with some white paint and micro balloons, It started to look like ice..
The plane and figures will be painted next.

Cheers
Per Olav
