Hello Roger
You've made a very nice job of this guy. It's a figure I've always admired and I managed to find one for sale "under the bench" at a show back end of last year. I've not done anything with it yet, but your version has given me the itch to dig it out.
Some nice touches, including the convincing look of the woodwork on the Gew98. Imagine going to work in the trenches with WHITE trousers!

Hello Phil,
Thanks. I hope you enjoy painting this as much as I did. The wood furniture on the Gew.98 was done with Andrea wood and washed with I can't remember how many layers of Games Workshop brown wash and then gloss varnished. I've used the brown and chestnut washes by GW several times and as you can see have achieved good results.
