Getting hands to grip was/is always a pain with plastic kit figures. The versatility of weapon swaps and such is great but it comes at the cost of the "U" shaped hand.
That little guy has some nice surface detail though, I am quite impressed with them.
Yeah, metal figs are much easier in these instances. Sadly, plastic doesn't bend.
The casting/sculpting is pretty good. Not perfect, but I don't expect that at about a tenner for the set.

Jacket and kepi basic colours are down.
Sky blue trousers underway. First coat looks a tad vibrant so I'll add a drop of grey for two and three.
Humbrol enamels are getting hard to obtain. Apparently their formulas (formulae?) have to change because of a dangerous substance in the current paints.
Which I'll use as an excuse when needed.

Oh hell yes, this is going to take weeks.
Enamels, domestic duties and full-time employment mean a "quick" project is over in under two months.
It'll look like Billy Yank has been living rough since 1861 by the time I get done, if all goes to plan.

Base colours down for sack coat and britches, which are less vibrant in real life. I never have cracked photography and never will.
Now onto leather accoutrements and I must must must remember to make a couple of canteen straps.
Keep forgetting. It’s me age, dear. Memory not what it used to be.
Yes….
