Hello fermatgom.
About your problems with blue, i'm painting a prussian, and with the matt varnish of AK directly added to the mix i don't have any problem. The base and first lights and shadows were with airbrush, and after painted with brush.
About the white, i really think you did a great work with those trousers. Till jacket is not ended is early to think is too cold. If after painting the jacket think is cold, always can put some glazes with brown or redbrown to warm them, but the degradate and lighting are very good, and here will be

Time for the groundwork. A fence made of balsa wood, milliput, sand and pebbles, grass... Nothing in special.
I have to hurry up, the figure must be finished for an exhibiton in a week.

Well, I guess it is finished!!! Happy with the result, but as usually not as good as I would like to Sorry for the pictures, still I have not available the photocamera and I have to manage with the mobile pone
