Thanks for sharing mate.
Everything you’d expect from Bill & more!
You can see how skilled & efficient he is as a miniaturist.
Expressions, movement all signatures for him.
Note though he doesn’t waste time sculpting out of scale detail like lace & instead had simulated this with careful brushwork.
Just lovely & still the benchmark!

Wave of Heroes is one of my favourites.......you can see the figures running, it is absolutely amazing......I have seen better painters and better sculptors on specific figures, but Mr Horan is absolutely a master in making its figure become alive.
Some people have the artistic talent to create emotion through facial expression and perceived movement. Bill has mastered this effect and I am constantly in awe of his talent, the complexity of his figures and dioramas. On my best days I fall way short in my projects, but I will keep trying and Bill is a MAJOR inspiration. Thank you for highlighting this amazing talent!
I have the pkeasure to share the priviledge I had a couple of months ago of visiting the private collection of one of the most famous collectors in our world, and could hold in my hands and photograph some of the masterpieces of Bill Horan....posting photos here below.....it was a real emotion
New from Bill...93rd Sutherland Highlanders at Cawnpore 1857....simply brilliant !!!!
Also....The death of Burnaby 3 Figure Vignette
Enjoy
