Vest and pants :
Base ; Vallejo silver white
lights ; base plus white
shadows ; base plus german grey
Grenadier fur cap :
Base ; burnt umber plus a dab of german camo black/brown.
Lights base plus flat yellow
Few washes of brown glaze
during the painting of lapels and facings i struggle a little bit with the Crimson.
I always try to look for the "right color" and i know that the hue of the color is in the eye of the beholder.
Pretty much " Crimson" to me i will describe in plain words as a deep red shade of red that when under the light you will see a " pinkish red tone" , very close to the Polish Lancers of the Napoleonic period.
This is the second of the four "squares" with the regiments, i have completed two more figures from the gatinais regiment ,i will add more figures on this diorama square for the Soissonois and Saintoge Regiment , they were almost right next to each other when they took positions at the Battle of Yorktown.
I hope you guys like.
