Hi guys ,

This is whats on my bench now , it is of course the bust from Mitches sculpted by Anastaysia , originally a young couple but I added the 'tache to make him have a older look , my bestest ever mate Jimbo added his arm ......no legs though!!!

The uniform has good texture effects , she is going to be blonde , no make up though

Just based in this picture , now I have done the dress now a light blue with a pattern , and the uniform , changed the shawl to a what will be a bluey/gray colour ...maybe with some pattern

Contemplating given him some rank maybe Sgt Major ....

Lots to do ...not looking forward to the girlie flesh!!!

Working title "Come home Papa" ...might do something in Russian though

More pics to follow a bit later

Nice start Kevin
I like your thoughts on adding some rank to the old boy (no awards?).
Great additions from Jim as well, making this very unique.
I'm hooked onto this one Mate should be a cracker.
All the very best

Hi guys ,

Thanks for the comments ......

Should be a good piece when finished ...thinking also of maybe adding a crucifix in her hand as well

No medals Keith ...no room ..woman's hand in way ...typical !

Thanks for looking in

Hi Nap,

I think there is enough space to try and place an order of Red star on right side of his chest, just to liven things up. Or may be an Order of Red Banner, but then you will need to play with the rank too.
Could have just enough of Order of Glory's orange and black ribbon to stick out from under her fingers too.

Ok, here is a good picture.
Sargent of the Guard. red star on right side chest, slightly below - a badge of the Guard. Order of Glory III degree - the left most medal on the left side of the chest, rest of the medals will be hidden by her hand.

Hi Guys,

Update time .....by words at the moment...

I have ranked him up to Sgt Major , he now has the Guards badge and the Red Star , also now a member of an anti tank artillery unit as he now has the badge on the left arm (introduced by order 0528 1st July 1942).

All badges etc will have as much detail as possible painted on

Thanks for looking in

The problem is once she is done with the steps she has to work on the front path:D
All the best

Keith

Kev....She's gonna need a "lot" of makeup!!!........but she could be worse as you can see below!;)

Right ...who gave him my picture before the "operation"

Jazz,

Remember ...I know where you live !

Thinking about changing the dress to a lemon colour with white flowers ...we are away at Fort Nelson so no painting till Monday !
