Yellow will look nice I think but not an easy colour to work with, we'll see.

I'm concentrating my efforts into getting a good opaque coat of yellow down at the moment. Who knows how it'll go after that but I'll keep you updated.

Looking really good Roger.
Yellows are one of my favourite tones to work with. I chose the yellow I want to be the main tone. Then to highlight drag a little to the left and add white.
For shade I take a red, usually crimson but lighter or darker works too, and add two or three different measures to the base yellow. I found it quite an eye opener how 'orange' you can go on 52mm pieces to get a good contrast.
That said I am sure that you have something in your mind to cope with it.

Roger,you know the rhyme on coral snakes:red next to yellow...will kill a fellow.This new figgie of yours is definitely a killer.Very novel to depart from the well establishes ubiquitous "red" for streltsi and you have certainly worked wonders with the yellows,a notoriously difficult colour to work with.This is a wondeful figurine.I hope you put it up for figure of the month on February.
