    Hi tony,
Sorry for not responding sooner. I just saw your message tonight.
Thanks for the good wishes. I did have a good birthday as I managed to be able to get the day off from work :)
    Take care,
    Craig
Many thanks Tony, I will enjoy the day best as I can, full of flu so just laying on the sofa being pampered by the wife and kids, just opened my birthday gifts and am pleased with the new figures that I received
    Cheers

    Tony
How are you! Thanks so much for the recent lesson. At the moment I'm working on a seil woodland Indian and a Greek hoplite bust. My main problem still seems to be getting a smooth transition from highlights to shadows and they also don't seem to stand out enough. Well I'll keep working away and I'll send you some progress photos.

    Hey Tony,

I'm flattered and am very pleased to *meet* you! The only chance I've had of meeting fellow figure painters has been at expo starting 2 yrs ago but as it turns out everything is so disorganized it never happens.

Anyway, glad to make your acquaintance and I've been enjoying your evolution in sculpting and painting on the planet!

    Cheers

    Hi Tony;

Sent you a message on my profile, but I'm not sure how these things work. Let me know if you were able to see it.
Hi Tony! I just have to put a few finishing touches on him, specifically on the leather straps on his leg. I also have to attach his shield arm and paint the shield. I did manage to change his sword arm with his shield arm, and he'll be holding a spear as opposed to the sword, so that meant having to scratch build a new handle and pommel for the sword. Then it's on to the ground work and then it should be show ready! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get anywhere near my workbench lately. I got handed a couple of new courses to teach because a colleague went down sick, so I am scrambling to keep my head above water at work and that has left very litle time for hobbies I'm afarid. But the good news is there is only 18 more days until Christams break! Keep checking in with me and I hope to have a finished product up before too long.

    Cheers;
    Glenn
    Tony,
I ask with a wry smile, but do you sleep? It seems your output as a painter is very high....given family duties, re-enactment duties, work, etc, something has to give, and seeing as you're married, I guess washing had to be kept.
Unless you are one of the few who watches like, 45 minutes of TV a week!
Sculpting bug has bitten, currently digging through old threads for how-tos. GaryJD seems to have a good one!
liking your work, glad to know Im not the only one who gets 'glossy green' from Vallejo.
    cheers

    Hi tony,

I know your a fan of the great war! I am currently making a bronze bust of a british tommy from the great war.I'll send you pictures when I am a little further down the road of completion. At present I only have the head and torso postured. So nothing really to show you yet.

    All the best my friend.

Hi Tony, no I cant make this weekend as I will be away for most of it, Bit of a bugger as it would be a good day and it would be good to catch up with everyone. I am planning to join and attend more of the clubs meetings next year. This year has been avery busy one for us as we bought a house, moving, and have been trying to get my side line business up and running. Next year should be easier.
Hope you all have a good dayon Saturday. Catch you soon. Ben
    Thanks Ian,

I missed it too. I was at my figure modelling club meeting tonight and it finished just as I got home. I'd love a copy if you can burn me one.

    Thanks mate

    Tony

    Hello, my friend!
    Thank you for inviting.
There are a lot of things which aren't understood about a planet.
When you help me, I'm happy.
    Iappreciate your continued support.
    Hello again Tony,
your comment about Emus, Red Skippies, Wombats & Diffs nearly had me falling out of my chair laughing.
Yes, live in Burnie currently, while preparing to shift to Melb for uni study.

As for what I'd like to sculpt, one idea Id like to arrive at is the portrayal of the 'Soldier returns home'. I think I'd have fun doing a comparative sculpt (as vignettes) of, say, a GI, Wehrmacht & IJA, whose home was Hiroshima.
Along the way, I would also like to try some 'glamor' style ladies.
As for medium, well, that will change. I'll pinch a page from your book, and start with busts, so as to get faces right. Might try something other then warriors looking grim, or ladies looking perky.
    Cheers
    and surrenders the roadkill title

    Hi Tony,
sorry I missed the bulk of your work on the Busts of Monash, impressed by what I see. I'm going to have to trawl your vBench entries to see it evolve. Think Ive got the sculpting bug, currently dormant, but I suspect it will emerge.
    Cheers
    Jamie
