An early photo of my current WIP - General Gudin from Alexandros Models. This 200mm bust is painted in oils and acrylics. Much still remaining on this one, including his rather prominent bicorne.

Thanks, Bob, Steve and Nap. These Alexandros busts are terrific to paint. Very sharp details and superb casting. They provide an excellent canvas to paint upon. Highly recommended.

Cheers,
Kurt

Hi Kurt

Catching up a bit

WOW !!! That epaulette looks great , love the effects you get

If possible can you show the colours your using for the "bling"

Look forward to more ...especially that bicorne !

Thanks for the kind words, Nap. Here are the colors that I’m using for gold lace and braid. Everything on this bust is mixed from the following colors:

Vallejo 70.824 - German Camp Orange Ochre
Vallejo Panzer Aces 337 - Highlight German Black
Reaper 09143 - Yellowed Bone
Vallejo 70.883 - Silvergrey

Hi Kurt

There's a lot of gold details and it's coming on well

Lovely work on the awards

His eyes follow you ...so realistic

Following with interest and enjoying it

Happy benchtime

Thanks, Samson and Nap! I appreciate those kind words.

The bicorne is certainly imposing, but it’s height is clearly representative of some of the period illustrations of general officers. It’s hard to imagine wearing something like that!

Cheers,
Kurt
