Looking great so far Joe! I really like the eyes looking to one side...gives him more life.
The tartan looks cool too. You are "THE MAN" when it comes to painting straight lines.

You're doing a super job Joe.......I got this figure a couple of months ago and will pay close attention to the skill you put into yours. I have always loved anything "Highlander" and I only wish Andrea had done this in a 90mm, instead of 54mm

Joe,that is one AWESOME figure that you got there (y) (y) ! Great job on the flesh tones and the Tartan kilt.Looking forward to the next installment in the project.Cheers !
Kenneth ;)

Dear Joe,

I hope that your subsequent pic will be brighter. Preferably shoot when there is sunlight as it will bring out the full spectrum of your colour.

Looking forward to more of your pics.

regards

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the kind words. Here is a new picture. I hope it is a better. I still have a few thing to do. :) Thanks on the tartan. I tried to make it look like it is a little off, if this makes any sense. I thought that for this time period that they would not have everything so perfect so I left some of the lines and little off. I hope that it makes sense.

The kit is from Andrea and is a 54 mm. It is a nice kit and I have enjoyed it. I really like the highlanders and this one is a good one to along with the others.

Thanks again for the kind comments. Here is the finished piece.

Talino,

For his flesh I used oils, Wet on Wet.
Base: Mars Brown + Cad. Lemon + White + a touch of Naples Yellow Red ( it is a flesh color, I have used the W/N on others)

Highlights: Naples Yellow + White
Higher High: more White until for the highest just white

Shadow/Medium: Mars Brown
Deeper: Mars Brown + Burnt Umber
Deepest:Burnt umber + a tad of Sepia

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the kind words. I was glad to get him finished. Rob as Daniel said it does paint up pretty quick. I am one, if you look at most of my work ;) , don't like all the extra gear and this one made me happy! Just a sword and that was it!

Wong,

Thanks. I still think it looks better in person and maybe one day I will get this picture taking thing down!
