Finished this monster. Fun project but my next one will be smaller.

FYI I added the shirt collar, Legion sash and oak leaf embroidery on his chest, jacket collar and cuffs.

Acrylic, ink, gouache.

Your painting, presentation and very effective muddy appearance makes one feel for him as he trudges behind Grouchy and tries to get him to extract his digit.

Thanks Andrew. It was a fun project that went faster than I expected. Great esculpt by Nello.

I’m just started Nello’s superb 75mm portrait of von Wallenstein of Thirty Years War fame (Alexandros). I think Nello is quickly becoming one of my go to sculptors.
