Here's my completed sculpted bust of Canadian Major General Romeo Dallaire, Force Commander for the United Nations Mission For Rwanda (UNAMIR) during the 1994 genocide.

Sculpted from super sculpey firm. Painted in Vallejos. Base in African rosewood from Thomas Art bases and label home made on my PC.

Scale is 1/5-ish.

Colin a remarkable likeness and great painting and very neat detail work on the badges and emblems.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Very generous comments and much appreciated! I will try to send off a photo or two to General Dallaire and see what he thinks....hopefully it gives him a moment's fun.

Very nice sir! Well painted and well sculpted. The canadians don't get a whole lot of recognition as a whole for their military contributions in the 20th century. Thanks for sharing.
 
We do OK Mike and General Dallaire has had more media exposure than he ever would have wanted. A very honourable fellow!
