Nice work Mike, love the stubble, must be a good feeling being able to take a close-up photo and have it still look realistic(something I can't quite do yet). Cheers Zane

Hi Zane, nice comments thank you, especially on close up shots which are a extra challenge to see if they can be pulled off. Hang in there mate, you gotta be happy with your own stuff most of all & realistically most of our art is not for viewing at ridiculously large scales that digital photos have now allowed us to do.
Sometimes just 'cos you can don't make it right.

Trust this makes some sense?

Stay safe & be happy,

Mike

Much respect to you, very difficult to get those kind of transparent glazes without paint build up, especially at large scale and high magnifications. I`m really curious as the paints your working with ?

Excellent job Mike, i still take pics of mine at a distance :( ....................................... preferably about 6 feet :), in a dark room with no flash, they look awesome then ;)

Hi Mike,
Crikey mate, you are raising the bar to poll vault standard and I'm still trying to get under the limbo pole. I'm going back to colouring books and crayons. Outstanding brush work.(y)

Stunning Mike, the eyes look superb.(y)
Once again pleasing to hear eyes looks OK - thanks Carl for commenting.

Can't see it getting more realistic than this Mike. Did you paint via microscope?
Colin

Hi Colin I do have to use optimiser & magnifier specs to see nowadays mate.
More about my eyes & age than my painting, but it does seem to help :)
Thank you.

That is some paint job well done, looks so life like a credit to you. Ian

That's kind to say Ian thank you.
excellent job!

Thanks Francky
