    MAN IT"S HOT

I'll trade you guys my winters for your summers!! -50 degrees, I would rather sweat than freeze, but thats my personal preference. We have had a very mild summer compared to last year. But it still never gets as bad as everyone seems to be getting. Average is about 85.

    5th NY zouave conversion

Gary, Yes, the color photos are the painting in progress. Hopefully I will be able to get better pics. Sometimes my pics turn out nice and sometimes they look like they do here. I use the same photo taking process and lighting, but with the mixed results. As for the canteen cover. I knew...

    5th NY zouave conversion

Here is another Shenandoah conversion I am working on. Once again sorry for the bad pics!! this guy is wounded. I had to cut the upper torso almost completely through in order to position him. I added the waist sash using sheet lead and knapsack straps using flattened solder.

    5th NY zouave conversion

This is a Shenandoah figure that I had started awhile back, come to think of it, it has been a couple years. I am slowly working on a diorama and this will be one of the figures. I sawed the legs off at the knees, repositioned the lower portion of the legs and filled in the spaces with Magic...

    V-Bench set up

Gordy, Thanks, I just wanted to make sure it went through. I had some problems getting it to work. The box for comments did not appear to be a required field since it was not highlighted, but it would not work unless you typed something inside it. Thanks again, Robert

How does one set up a vbench

Gordy, Sorry to jump into the middle of this topic. I have just tried that link, filled out the form and it tells me one or more required fields have not been filled in. The only line not filled in was the remarks or comments block which does not appear to be a required field as its not...

    Moving Miniatures

I like to use a foam/ sponge type material. It is the same material usually used for gun cases. I cut the foam to the demension box and then the demension of the base making the opening for the base a little smaller. The material is flexable so it will secure the base strongly and also act as a...

    Plastic belt/strap material

John, What I like to use flattened solder. It maintains a uniform appearance yet it is still flexable and easy to manipulate into position. I use ot for all my straps from horses to figures to include insignia. You can buy it from most electronic stores like Radio Shack in many different sizes...
