WIP French - Indian Wars duo

Very nice Steve - I always like to see the different subjects you tackle, & the quality of your sculpts always shines through. No doubt this one was assisted by listening to lots of Northern & Motown whilst work was in progress......(y) KTF & KOKO!

120mm German Machine Gunner, Eastern Front

Excellent work as always, Peter. I like your recycling ethic a lot, I've got several old figures in the same situation myself - & with partial retirement looming on the horizon very shortly (well, next week in fact!), I might be able to start realising those dreams....... Looks like your man...

    Completed ARP warden

Another nice original idea, Paul. I like the way you always create figures from the spares box, & the way you choose the Home Front as well as military subjects.

    Oliver Cromwell (Elan13 Miniatures, 65mm)

Excellent painting, Andrew - I like the leatherwork on the boots & the colour of the buff coat is exceptional.

Completed Peleliu, 1944 (Evolution Miniatures, 1/35)

Excellent work Edward, like the shading on the HBT fatigues.

    8th Hussar Trumpter

Beautiful work Mike. Loving the richness of the reds.

    Mitches Fury Trio

Richard - Exemplo Ducemus. A lot of the pre-war CMP, both Regular & Territorial, were either ex-Guardsmen (for their height), ex-civilian policemen, or AA/RAC patrolmen. Also the Intelligence Corps, formed in 1940, was an offshoot of the Corps of Military Police - originally known as the Field...

    Hello from Norway

Hi Jovan, you're very welcome, & you've certainly picked the right site for hints & tips - there are some fantastic modellers & painters here.

    Verlinden 120mm Ernst Tiburzy

Another nice one, Peter. I like the way you do your flesh tones & leather effects - the gloves & map case are particularly realistic, & shading on the jacket & breeches likewise. Like Steve, I never knew this figure was based on a real person; I always thought it was a composite of various...

    Young Miniatures Chosin Few Bust

Beautiful work, Peter - I love what you've done with the helmet cover, provides a great contrast to the OG parka; Glad you decided not to repaint it! Nice one (y)

    Sevastopol 1942

Excellent vignette with great composition & scenery.

    Greetings from Canada

Hello Max, & welcome to the forum. Nice variety of figures you've shown, the Japanese tank commander particularly caught my eye.

Jeffshiu's Miniatures 120mm "WWII Royal Navy Vosper MTB Crew"

Fantastic pair of figures Jeff, & a nice change of subject material too. Like this a lot!

    El Greco ACW Confederate Bust

Excellent work as always, Peter - I like your shading & highlights on the jacket, & the worn leatherwork is very realistic.

Takom 1/16 Imperial Japanese Army Tanker

Beautiful work, Mark - love the Kubel driver & Luchs interior. Keep focused & show us some more!
  17. Chris Oldfield

    54mm Scots Greys Charge

That's a lovely vignette Neil, great conversion skills & use of the old Airfix Collector's Series figures, a range which lent themselves so easily to surgery like this. Used to love building those kits when I was a teenager, & I've still got a 10th Hussar in the stash which I'm going to bring up...

    Young Miniatures Cossack Bust

Peter - don't be overcritical of yourself. I'd be more than happy to have that Cossack in my display cabinet.

    Furry companions...

My Bichon Frise Millie, who's 11 years old & lies on the stairs or under my bench whilst I'm modelling. Still having a problem getting images to appear the right way up! That's why I rarely post photos......
