Steve - Morning. The palette for the flesh is: Black Red, Dark Red, Magenta, Vermillion, Flat Flesh and Off White. I use the flat flesh as a base to which the other colours are added. I tend to prefer a lighter skin tone these days, and that is achieved by adding increasing amounts of white to the flat flesh to build up the highlights. Jabbed arm much better thanks. Probably a Celt next.
Chris - Glad you like him. I love painting drapery, but it has taken me a long time to find the nerve to push the contrasts. I don't often go for worn leather as I find it quite difficult to do, so I'm pleased that it appears to have worked here.
