If you pin both feet, and drill two holes in the temporary base, you won't need to use glue or putty to hold it steady. Leave some of the pin showing below the foot in case you have to grasp it with pliersto remove the figure.

Thanks John. The arms on the fig I'm working on now needed to be positioned precisely to cross at the wrist, and grasp a weapon. I couldn't come up with a method that allowed me to assemble and make adjustments to the arm sections, so I just replaced them with a wire armature. I'd be interested...

Lookin' good John, I like that scale too! I t looks like you used a UEM mannequin for this guy? If so, did you use the arm sections provided? I couldn't figure out how to put these together temporarily while adjusting the pose.
