    The Brothers von Richthofen

Nice one Mike...in this scale, the great thing is they are instantly recognisable.. Mike you surely must have bought one of those 'family packs' of Aves to get such a close relationship between these guys.. Kindest regards...Roy.

The passing of one of our friends father...

My sincerest sympathies to Joe Lakins Family...I hope they all find a strength within each other at this difficult and sad time.

    Charles Ewart 54mm

Many thanks George and Costas...The piece is finished and I eagerly await a kit version. I hope you get one Costas, and if Napoleonics is not your usual era of interest (like me, as this is the first piece from this era I have attempted to sculpt) you may find, as I did, that it adds an extra...

Here are another couple of pics of the sabretache. Here's the detail on the rear...sorry for the blurry picture here. The next 2 images show the work on the rear of the figure when it was almost complete. Thanks again for taking the time to look.

    Poste Militaire

Hi Michael, the majority of the PM masters were bought by Dave Freeman at Bonapartes...I think a few of the late and very attractive 70mm (?) masters went to Elite Miniatures. All the best..Roy.

This pic shows the basic assembly for the sabretache. It's made from a little copper sheet and wire, soldered to form the basis on which I can sculpt the remainder of the details. I have a couple of more images of the next stages to post later. Thanks again for taking a look. Roy.

Here is a closer picture showing the work on the front of the figure at this stage. The lace is complete on the jacket front and also the collar. Chinscale details have been added, also hair and sideburns. From this view you can also see the cords tied up to keep them out of the way. I'll try...

    Grandfather WWI

Many thanks Einion...it was a very good image to work from though, just a lot of dirt to remove and the unfortunate but inevitable damage to repair. When it's scanned in very large, as you already know, you have a good chance of effecting at least some repair. David, I would love to try to...

Here's another 2 pictures that show some of the work on the bearskin. Worn loosely, and with the chin straps now un-fastened for comfort, I've tried to show it with the fur covering much of the front plate. The basic shape was made with Super Sculpey firm over a rough former of Magic Sculp for...

    Grandfather WWI

Hi David, it is a shame as it appears to be in bad condition with the fading and also the fact that the faces aren't very visible. I could try to do a little work on it for you if you wanted. Do you intend to ultimately display a re-print in a frame..?? Here is some work I done on an already...
