Jeffshiu's Miniatures 120mm 'CONVOY' Fallschirmjager on BMW motorcycles, Rome, Italy, 1943/44

As far as I know Jeff does not cast his kits by himself but outsourced his production to a casting service. The same did several European companies to increase their income and decrease production costs - among them Andrea Miniatures for example. The consequences for the availibility of recasts...

    Bavarian 'Cornflower Blue'

Here is an example of a Bavarian Jäger how he should have looked in the field displaying the lighter tones of the uniform blue when worn in the field.

    Bavarian 'Cornflower Blue'

The "Sky blue" was a result of wear as the dyes of the uniforms bleached out - especially when worn in the field. That lead to the misconception that this was the original color of the"cornflower blue" Bavarian uniforms.

Captain Gaetan Joseph Prosper – adc of Bessières Pegaso Models

It is sad to see, but IMHO this is the consequence of a long process - it started when even hardcore customers did no longer follow the price level Pegaso was aiming at - and Pegaso ignored it. I don't know anything about running a business but other companies are still able to run their...

Jeffshiu's Miniatures 120mm WWII German Tiger I Late Production riders

Too many weak spots for my taste at this scale but nonetheless these figures work as a group and no other company beside Jeff is offering such a broad variety of crews that add the human factor to the large scale vehicles. Welcome is likewise the change from the usual winter uniforms. - Good...

October Diorama - Shadow on the rising sun

While the future release IMHO can be improved in many aspects this thread was most likely not meant to promote other brands on the market. I would rethink the concept of this scene - the drama is not translated in the poses of the figures and the story itself is difficult to tell in miniature...

Germa Prisoner, Inf.-Regt. Nr. 60, Vampire Farm, Passchendaele 1917

Obviously John Smith`s inspiration. Perfectly captured by David Lane.

    Benito Mussolini

Yes and therefore freedom to debate, dislike or like should be valued.

    Benito Mussolini

It is to be expected that these discussions pop up when we have the miniatures of the villans of history to be released regardless that some of them sell quite well. IMHO it is most of the time overlooked that the people we see as the counterparts of the villans are let's say controversial in...

    Jeff Shiu question

It is a while since I placed an order at Jeff's Company. His service was always reliable but without tracking details. If he sent you an invoice and you paid it I would wait some more time. I am sure everything will be okay.

DAK (German African Corps) Scale 1:32

I think that the Afrika Korps usually tied the heads of their fallen enemies to the saddles of their dromedars - a historical detail easily overlooked. Nevertheless nice but a bit overdone action poses IMHO and I would have loved them as a kid but most probably they would have been out of...

Wanting to make a memorial trophy

What about this one? I don´t own it but it would fit in your ideas https://www.andrea-world.com/en/1/andrea-miniatures-catalogue/108/classics-in-90-mm/222/s8-f25-viking-chief-c-900.html#gallery-2

Jeffshiu's Miniatures 120mm WWII British sniper

While this nice interpretation of the attached photo remains true to the inspiration it is not very common that a sniper exposes himself so foolishly by sticking his rifle out of a window frame. That said - nice figure and finally a regular Tommie. (y)

    1/16 Normandy...... Das Werk,Sol models

Superb! Just don't get why everybody is moving to the front while the rearward MG-Gunner is busy - a hickup in the concept of SOL-Models. Nevertheless excellent paintjob and a major project brillantly done.

Militia Models: Girl with the Gun, Ukraine 2022 (80 mm)

I first have to admit that I am a complete loss when it comes to modern artistic messages - therefore it might just be me not understanding the scene and it`s "message". There is a big ruin wall and a girl in a relaxed pose in that window cradling a gun and having a cigarette - obviously...
