Great figure that I'd buy in large (1/9) scale, 75mm or less is too small (for me) to show off the great detail, like the duct tape on the right hand rail of the helmet. In 54mm, that would look more like a casting flaw. As for the flag, I'd remove it or cover it with an Old Glory decal. But...

Hi Steve, I suspected that (250mm in the title was the bust), and saw the comment re NVG, hence the question as you're absolutely right, and as Ong says, this is the most modern figure currently available, it stands to reason that the NVG would be there.

And, if I may add to Ong's questions. The helmet has the battery fitted for the monocle NVG, is the NVG available, too? If this is going to be available in bigger scales, I'm keen for one in 1/9, no Ukrainian flag, with the NVG, please (sorry to be so demanding). I'm thinking of this as a camo...

Hi Nap, A bit of work to do yet. Comparing the image to the figure, I need to fill in some areas more. It's not a complex pattern, I only need to paint one colour at a time and then I'll have flecktarn! Well, that's how I look at it. Happy bench time. Kylie

All five colours applied to the legs; I went back and touched up some areas as, looking at the reference image, there are "large" areas of colours, not just clumps of dots. Plus, I wasn't happy with the shape and size of some of the dots that I'd done. I need to go back and add daps of the...

Quick update before I go to work; referencing the image above, the light green is not very wide spread, whereas the brown, black, and green are, with small areas of the mid-green / grey to fill in. I will finish the legs first before starting on the torso, I'm conscious of rushing this...

Ok. We're back. Started on the second figure, did want to have both in a vignette, but also really wanted to have a crack at flecktarn... I went for NATO black, brown, and green, and flat green over field gray. It's a dark camo, and I reserve the right to change my mind about the colour...

fellas, this has not been abandoned, merely on hold for the Christmas period as the kids are home, and I've been under pressure to get the garden in shape... before lunch, and after lunch: I will get back on this once the kids are gone again.
