I have had this issue for ages on and off now...very frustrating to say the least  Sorry...but I disagree it being the OS...have tried altering every available setting to do with OS and network etc. but nothing has resolved this issue for me. Ron

If I may offer a slightly different perspective for you to consider David... Whilst we have all experienced what you are suffering now...there are a couple more options to consider. Rather then watch countless videos...which by the way are heavily edited to only show the successful end...

    What the Hell !!!!!

Join the club mate...I will be very surprised if you can even get through on the phone...let alone get any sense out of them! Our suppliers website crashed two days ago...still not fixed...and doubt it will be any time soon. Let's not forget...the so called 'price cap' means absolutely nothing...

    Thoughts on NMM

It always comes down to our individual tastes and preferences...whatever works for you...for me personally...TMM works best...but I freely acknowledge there are some superb artists out there using NMM. Ron

    Thoughts on NMM

Let's not forget that NMM techniques have been around as long as canvas painters have...which is why a technique designed for 2D viewing will never work on 3D subjects.

    Paper plants.

After shaping/assembling them (bend/fold/twist etc.)...either coat them in thinned PVA or...alternatively...coat them in Thin CA (Superglue)...prime then paint. Ron

    Thoughts on NMM

Whilst I agree with your sentiments in the main Alex...your last line...in my personal experience...has more to do with a beginners lack of understanding of the medium. There are distinct categories of acrylic metals...which govern their use...for example...those meant for the airbrush as...

    Thoughts on NMM

All good mate...hope same for you :) Perfectly put Gary (y) For myself...I have two distinct approaches to metal...one for figures...hand applied with the hairy stick...the second being airbrushed...for models (mainly 1/12 F1). Each metal has it's own unique properties...many having...

    Thoughts on NMM

I would tend to agree with your view of NMM in general Gary...especially regarding the 'flatness' of the finished effect...no matter how well executed...it cannot truly replicate a 3D perspective when viewed from different angles. When it comes to polishing white metal...for me personally...that...

    Flesh tones

Whilst your points are valid and I agree wholeheartedly Brad...I feel it's a shame that more information is not widely available to people coming into our hobby...on just how easy it is to create such things as washes and pigments at home. Off the shelf 'convenience' products are a huge market...

    Flesh tones

If I may...it puzzles me that even buying specific colour sets...some at outlandish prices...many refer to them merely as a 'starting point'...when logically...you could rephrase that to 'no point'. No matter your chosen medium...there is no substitute for learning the basics of colour...

    Thoughts on NMM

From a purely personal perspective...NMM is flat and somewhat 'cartoonish' to my eye...lacks depth/life. There are some truly amazing results on display in the fantasy arena...which is where it's appeal is more at home IMHO...however...it takes a lot of time and effort to attain those levels of...
