I don't know how I missed this one before! Crap!! You are putting us all to shame with your originality, talent and obvious love for life and, well.... what more could I add to that?
This scene is familair to me as well....., I WAS that drummer!!! I still have the old tubs gathering dust in my garage. I haven't played them for 20 years but haven't had the heart to get rid of them either.
I should not be surprised that you are a musician as well. Probably a brilliant one too. When I see work like this, it makes me wonder what I am doing wasting my time making little soldiers. Oh yeah, now I remember. I do it to pay the bills!!! Crap!

Seriously, where did you hide this? This is GREAT! Ah, my misspent and wayward youth. I played in bands from 65 - 70. Blues, soul, R&B, everything then current except Country [then called Country & Western]. Great fun but I darn near starved to death and that's no exaggeration.
Your vignette is superb, Marijn. If the vignette was from my time of playin' in bands, the bass would probably have to be a Fender and there would have been lots of cigarette butts on the floor.
Marvelously well done just like all your stuff! Look forward to the opportunity to meet you at MFCA.

Thanks Mike! No, I'm not a brilliant musician by any means. Not enough talent, and I never practiced enough to compensate a bit for it, so I'm just enjoying my time once a week, trying to piece some stuff together with the band. But good fun it is!
