Hi all,
I bought this stunning sculpt from Apikitt L Highway a while ago. I haven't got any shots of my raw casting but I can tell you it was the smoothest resin casting I have ever seen, it was so smooth that I thought that is was polished. I have attached pics from his facebook site.
Cheers
Ben

So I have started on painting it and am about half way finished before I realised that I should take some pics of how its going.
Above the waist, the skin tones are about 80% done, just a bit more shadowing and highlights to finalise it, especially on the lighter tones. The armour has only had the first round of drybrushing and is way too bright for how I want it, and will tone it down and detail it. So far I have used Jo Sonyas airbrushed for the light skin tones, oils for the spotting/patterns(about 8-10 hours worth so far) and darker tones and Vallejos for the armour. The head pattern has just been started and needs more of something yet I think.

Good God Ben that's awesome. I can't wait to see this in the flesh. What size is it?
Thats one fugly alien, but an awesome paint job as always, Ben. Really nice mate, look forward to seeing the detail up close.
Cheers

She will be at club on Tuesday so you can see it up close. Tony it is 1/6 scale but measures in at 32cm high, bit taller than the usual 1/6 figure for sure. Weighs a ton, think I will have my left bicep larger than my painting arm by the time I finish it!!

I have seen this individuals sculpting work before. Where/how did you buy this kit? I have never been able to figure out how to acquire any of Apikitt's work.

Jim
Hi Jim, I had to track him down, but eventually got a hold of him through facebook using his name, sent a message and got a price. He is from Thailand so translation takes a bit of time. His sculpting is outstanding to say the least, and I was very impressed with the casting as well, all went together with minimal putty and clean up. I would say he is on par with Narin, if you have heard of him as well, bit more well known. Very highly recommended to do business with. I have a feeling that all his work is very limited edition so you probably have to be quick to purchase.

All I can think is why does she have ****s and would even a predator be brave enough to suckle a baby predator with those teeth? Oh well, to quote a well known Buffy episode....."it isn't a documentary." But excellent painting so far.

Colin
HAHA, yep, it does beg the question now that you mention it!!!!!!!
Cheers

This is an absolutely wonderful sculpt, and the paint job is well on the way to making it a stunning piece. Anthony
p.s. I never though I would see a female predator..let alone one in string underwear...good luck with that.

Looking awesome!!!
What blows me away about the sculpt is all the different textures on the various surfaces... would make it a joy to paint. Washes and touch highlighting almost do themselves.

Carry on, great work

Thanks for that Guys, glad you are liking what I have done so far. As to the sculpt, yep, its one of the best I have ever seen (definately purchased), the textures are adding to the pleasure of painting this piece. After going through a bit of a low in my painting production, this one has really given me the boost I needed (if only I didnt have to go to work, I could spend more time in the hobby room!!!!!)
