Thanks for the kind words Billy and Jazz, much appreciated.
Billy, had a look at that thread, MAN that is going to be one cool Alien head, he has done a superb job on it, and as his first sculpt!!!!!!! Perfection.
Jazz, glad you are liking the posts, I thought that I might be boring some people. Yeah the dome was an experiment that worked out as I wanted, slow build up of colour through the airbrush was the trick. I really wanted to try some new techniques on this one, so this was one of them.

Back again,
More updates and I am almost finished. In these pics I have attached the Alien top section to the base, it took a bit of filler here at the join as I should have attached the alien before the Predator, but I couldn't do it this way as I need to finish painting the feet of the Predator first, Oh well, it worked out in the end. I have also added some alien Goop here to look as though she had dragged the bust towards her.
The last pic shows the skirt attached to her rear, I added a bit of a animal print here as it tended to give it more of a female touch.

These pics show the dreads and ornaments done, I went for an array of different metallics and bone to suit her armour and surrounds. The last pic is of the sword almost completed, I need to finish off the handle and its done.
Once I have completed the sword and attached it, I just need to do some touch ups and its all done. I will post overall pics and detail shots once its all done, hopefully in a few days.
Thanks for looking again

Thanks for that Tony, Malc and T-34, glad you are liking the progress. I must say I am happy so far, it has all fallen together in a way that not all figures do, it has also taken some planning to get it all together and painted without having to go back too much to fix or repair damaged areas after pre painting and assembly. Touch wood, its not finished yet!!!!
Tony, hope to have it finished and at the club next meeting, if all goes well. See you there
Ben

Just awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really dig the pattern work and the membrane dome on the alien. As I said before your treatments of all the textures on the predator are fantastic. I'm really impressed by your use of so many different mediums... oils, acrylics, pencil, pastels, metallic pens, enamels... you seem to have used everything available at the art store. The final effect is worth all the work you've put into this piece.

Cudos, well done

Colin

Geez, Thanks for that Colin, I am very happy that you appreciate the work that has gone into it, and that you liked my SBS. Yep, I am a shocker for trying new techniques, but I really think that each technique has a particular quality, and that we need to exploit these to their potential.
I finished this kit today so will post the finished pics in a new thread in the next few days, once I have the pics sorted out
