As the title says, it´s the first time I attempt to paint a zombie and I just loved it! All the possibilities and different ways of interpreting it. . .
I don´t know who produced this because I´ve gotten it from Phil (FengShuiStein) in his last garage sale. It´s 1:8 I guess and comes in 3 pieces. Body and head, base and a clear plastic rod.
I have used acrylics for base colour and oils for shading and weathering. As most of you might have noticed, David Fischer´s invaluable DVDs have been the main inspiration.

Please, make sure to leave your comment, either good or bad. This is the first zombie for me and I really need some feedback.

Cheers!

All the different elements work so well. The purified flesh, opaque eye and the veins in the neck. I'm intrigued to know how you did the bloody saliva, drooling from his mouth? Although I'd be worried about them breaking off.
For one of the undead, he looks well.
A bit of a contradiction I know,
Carl.

Ghoulsome work. He looks great, I love the blood/saliva dribble, very nice touch. his skin colour and veining is also great. The only thing I would change is the hair colour, it tends to blend into the skin too much, I think it needs to be a bit darker.
As for David Fisher's DVD's, they are the best.

Well thank you all for your kind comments.

FigureLover- I´ve thought about the contrast but every movie or picture I´ve looked at showed their hair with a subdued, green/gray color. I think I´ll paint it up again and see how it goes.

housecarl - actually very easy to do: get a transparent sprue or plastic rod, heat it up over an eletric oven and pull it with pliers until you have the desired thickness, sink it into cold water to fix it, cut to lengh, sand the tip, get a tiny drop of epoxi glue so that the down side gets round, wait until its dry. Make a small hole where you want to fix it, glue it and give it a thick clear gloss finish. Wait until it´s dry, cover it with whatever clear color you have or want. I use glass varnish for the colors. That drool is a mix of dark red with dark green. You can use those candy colors from Tamyia as well or Gunze.

Thank you all forlooking and leaving your comment!
