Been a while. Thanks to Nap for helping me resurrect my password.

Working on RDG’s massive 1/9 digital sculpt of General of Division Gerard 1815 by Nello Rivieccio.

Artist’s and hobby acrylics, acrylic gouache and inks.

Enjoying this towering figure.

Hi Colin

You’ve made my Monday morning , great to see you back and posting what’s on the bench

A large piece to work on , the fleshwork is excellent , liking the addition of the embroidery on the cape

The headwear looks really well done ....like the edging

Following with interest

Looking forward to seeing more on this figure and future projects

Happy benchtime

Thanks Kevin. i appreciate the welcome. I am going to change his uniform slightly…from the very undress general’s frac to the undress embroidered coatee. That will require free handing oak leaf embroidery down the front. Should be fun.

Same here. As tough as 54s an be, in some ways they're more forgiving. I can't imagine being able to do great painting as Colin has done here on a large figure.

Doing a lot of 1/9 busts helps. The other thing that helped is using a cut down make up sponge for the larger areas. My friend Brian Wildfong introduced me to this idea and he credits James Rice for the idea.

thanks
