I have begun the next one on my to do list... The wonderful Nuts Planet 101 Airborne bust (half figgie). Done the cleanup and started the painting. This is just the start with some color applied via the trusty Iwata (Vallejo and Scale 75) and a bit of brushwork... stand by for the jump light..
Thanks for looking,
Matt

Amazing light and shade painting on that jacket Matt.
Your blending and colour matching is first class.
I always find the choice of face first or last interesting. It used to be face first to set the character of the piece but lately (and I include myself) I see guys dealing with the face last. It seems to stop my mind wanting to move on to other projects that are buzzing around in my head.
Anyway enough of that rubbish.
Great work Matt, looking forward to the next steps.
All the best,
Keith

I've just received mine today (thanks Steve for a 1st rate service again) I cannot believe the standard of the figure. Nuts Planet will be around for a long time to come. Also I received the Von Stauffenberg the only problem being now is which one to start first and I am intending on using the Tom Cruise head which is really top rate. Anbody thinking about purchasing one should stop thinking and order one before its to late.

Thanks for the compliment. I just decided to work on the torso first. Usually the face first.

Have to agree. They are a SERIOUS player now and a byword for quality.

This is coming together really nicely and I'm looking forward to seeing the end result. As someone else said above, the colours look spot on.

I have several Nuts Planet busts now and I have to say they are equal to, if not better, than Young Miniatures in terms of the quality and crispness of the sculpting and casting, and that for me is the highest praise I can give any bust manufacturer.(y)

What I like about Nuts Planet is that they are definitely targeting the movie-inspired historic character genre, but in most cases providing alternate heads for those modellers who also want to do a straight historic bust character. Having that choice of an alternate heads makes these busts twice as appealing.

Have you decided whether to do the Band of Brothers version or the Mohawk version??
