Hi Planeteers,

some weeks ago, I repainted this oldie from the early 8o´s. I can´t remember, who was the manufactor, think it is from the MilArt Range. The figure is about 80 mm, not so perfect as figures today are, but it has an own kind of charme.

Of course it is an officer from the 11th Hussars NOT from the 10th!! Sorry for the mistake.

Hope, you´ll like it

Thomas

This is really nicely done and takes me back to when I was middle-aged! The badge on the plinth leaves no doubt about his regiment. I assume that it was included with the kit? That was a very attractive custom for a while, now seemingly reserved for regimental gift shops. Congrats!

Hi Thomas,
You have made a great job of painting this superb old figure. I just wish that I could find one:(.

I must just make one observation; this figure is of an 11th Prince Albert's Own Hussars. The 10th Hussars were the Prince of Wales' Own and the regimental badge was the three feathers of the Prince of Wales.
11th Hussars
10th Royal Hussars

Sorry to be a bit nit-picking but I am sure that you would sooner know?
Cheers,
Keith

Hi all of you,

thank you for your kind comments!

Keith: of course you´re right! It is an officer of the 11th Hussars!! That´s no nit-picking of you, it was my mistake to confuse the regimental numbers!! Thank´s for your hint!!

Phillip: I got the badge in a regimental shop with some others. I have a lot of these, most of them I got from british comrades in various maneuvers in my active time as a soldier.

Once again, thank you all

Thomas

Great work Thomas, the detail is very well painted and the face has a great deal of character.

Bravo!
