Terrific picture, Steve, and clearly the inspiration behind the figure, but to refer to the demi-God Caton Woodville as a 'bloke' is a bit like

I was referring to the bloke in my picture and Martins lower centre in mine

This was the All the Queens Men release ( they also find the bugler Mitches released recently )

The spade is part of the 1888 slade wallace equipment. Its on the original Caton Woodville drawing

It didnt last long hanging from the waistbelt and was ordered to be repositioned with the valise, on the back....
