This is a little vignette I've made up using some of the recent repaints I've been working on. I've posted the machine gunner before, but I've just finished the ammo carrier, also a Verlinden figure, this time with a Trumpter head and Verlinden, CGS Military, Tamiya and Dragon equipment. It was finding the hand holding an ammo box that first suggested that they might go together.

The base is an old off-cut with bits of balsa, rusty metal picked up from the fields and gamer's grass tufts added. I've tried to suggest the first snow of winter with a dusting of Krycel powder.

Hi Peter

Good on you they work well together , nice recycling of rusty metal for the base

Thanks for sharing

Look forward to seeing more

Happy benchtime

Hi Peter. Finally made it!:) Had a look through your latest work and its great to see you are on top form as always. Looks like this forum was a great move for you. This grouping is outstanding, set off with a nicely done base. Take care my friend and we will speak soon

Nap and Mike - Many thanks for looking in.

Steve - Very good to see you after all this time. I wished I'd made the move to PF years ago - everyone is so supportive and helpful and ther is some fantastic work being done - all very inspiring.

In the meantime, I've taken a couple of mm off the top of the loaders head so that the helmet sits properly:

Amazing what a difference “a couple of mm of the head” makes Peter. Interesting seeing this pair together & this minor adjustment does help connect them.
Thanks for sharing mate.

Peter - Thank you.

Pedro - Thanks also. That's the last of the Germans for a while.

Mike - Quite scary taking a saw to the head. Fortunately, only minor damage was done to the paintwork, and I do think it's made a big difference to the figure.

Morning Peter

Another super vignette and only a little head surgery.

Has the Italian package arrived on the bench?

Back to busts yet?

Have a good day with your next victim

Regards

Steve H

Federico - Many thanks.

Steve - Cheers that man. Yes, the Italian package arrived five days after ordering , 2.30 euros postage and no problems with customs - exemplary service and I've already placed another order. I 'm working on a Soviet naval infantryman, then have a pair of Roman archers and an ECW cavalryman to look forward to. Busts have lost their appeal at the moment - it's either one or the other with me and anyway I think I'm better at full figures.

I have to admit I am biased towards your busts, but your figures are equally as good
Enjoy the Soviet Naval figure

Glad you approve Pier. I've had a series of failures for the past week or so - just can't seem to paint, although there were some dodgy sculpts amongst those I worked on (excuses, excuses). I've currently got something on the bench which is going better, fingers crossed!
