1:6 scale Lincoln kit. These are castings from molds I made from a 3D prototype printed at Shapeways. The clean up was fairly easy as this is one of th 5 prints that came pretty much clean from them. I addeds some skin texture and cleaned up a few layer lines on the suit and the castigns came our really well IMHO.
I figure adding what I paid Shapeways to print them to the amount of time it cost me to clean them up, the cost was about the same as going to a high end printing service, the only difference is I didn't have to pay myself for the clean up so the full price was 45 USD to print. Note that like the Kalakaua print the head on this bust was printed separately.

Looks great, especially considering the IMAX scale its in. Are you gonna be selling these?

Jason, there are kits available on my site for 45 bucks, but they need some cleaning and mounting. I am not including either of those things so the kit really isn't the quality you would get from a regular vendor.
Colin, I'm working on a painted one now.
Thanks Ethan.

Looks good Ethan, both unpainted and painted (y)

Cheers,
Billy :)

LOL this is RK's wonderful work not my own; and I think that paint is coming along nicely! I agree a neutral grey or blue background would make him pop a bit more in the photography

D'oh. forgive me :sorry:

And that, children, is what happens when you look at a tiny screen with old worn-out eyes (and brain).

Anyhoo, where was I.....

Looks good RK, both unpainted and painted (y)

Cheers,
Billy :)

Nice. I wish I would have known how to sculpt in 3D. Well, I don't know. Who knows, knows, who doesn't know must... clap. :ROFLMAO:
