A small update.
The jacket has been painted and the lacing has also been done. Nightmare, looks like the 19th Century equivalent of hazard tape.
I think it looks fine. Canteen, haversack, knapsack and the drum to d0. Will post some better Pic's later.

That's coming along very nicely.
I suppose the yellow coat could be seen as a 19th century high viz jacket.
That would make the apprehensive look and 'hazard tape' very appropriate.

Cheers,
Andrew

Hi Bob. He's looking lovelyThe yellow jacket looks right and the way you've painted it ought really to be shared .'nuff said.

Amazing progress Bob. The face and jacket are top draw Mate.
Looking forward to the next post.
All the best

I'm enjoying seeing the different interpretations of this cracking figure. Great work, Bob (y)

Alan

It won't be long now, on the downhill stretch. Thank you both for the boost to my morale.

Progress, progress.
Here is the point I am at now. Both figures are positioned on the ground work, but not fixed. As you can see some work has been done on the drummer.
The drummers sword has been shortened by 5mm, in keeping with the scale. The Drummers swords had a 24 inch blade, the Sgts sword had a 31 inch blade. Metal rims to the canteen have been added from frog tape (tape used by decorators to stop paint bleeding on walls or woodwork). Sword knots have been added to the sword hilts.

I now have to drum to do, (leave the worse till last), hands and drum sticks and of course the ground work.
So nearly there.
Thanks for looking.
