I go away for a while and you come up with this cracking 1/16th
Your nailing the flesh mate and great start on the blue ( what colours you using for that ?)
Looking forward to seeing more ....have you any more of the series

I think I need to add some subtle glazes to the face it pull it together. Then I call it done.
Personally I wasn't satisfied with the blue and since the last post, so I've given it a thin glaze of Indigo oils.
Here's the initial mix for the blues.
All Scale 75 paints.
Pre shaded Flat Black. Base coat - Petroleum Grey + Deep Blue, I wasn't over keen with the result, so added a little Navy Blue and Tesla Blue.
For the highlights I added Brown Grey to the mix.
Hope that helps.
On Grandad duty today, but hopefully I'll be able to spend sometime at the bench tomorrow.

Eyebrows, belts and footwear are my least favourite parts of any paint.
Great start on the bust.

There's always something that's a bugger to paint, thankfully no shoes to worry about with a bust.

I've added some glazes to the face to help pull it together, although I need to work on getting a smoother finish.
More work on the jacket, with just the sabre and gauntlet to go.

I purchased it at Euro Militaire a few years back from SK miniatures.
Sadly I'm not sure if they're still in production, but there is a chance Steve still may have some in stock.
Worth checking with El Greco miniatures as well.
