Nice work Malc, this is looking good. I like the contrast in the flesh tones and the stubbly hair is very effective.

Thanks Nigel.
Having watched the film again, I did consider adding some grease to his face, but after some careful thought,
I think It's best to leave it as it is.

I've managed to do a little more work, concentrating on the shirt and collar of the jacket, allowing me to cement the head in position.

Thanks Nap, I based the shirt colour on the box art, bust after watching a few clips from the film, I gave the shirt a glaze of a different shade,
that looks more like the film now.

Oh yes, that's looking really good.

Cheers Nigel.
I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere now.
I applied a basecoat for the jacket this morning, which I'm letting it dry out thoroughly overnight,
then the detailing can begin.

The next phase for me was something I wasn't looking forward to, because my dodgy hands and trying to keep the brush steady.
What made it a bit harder for me was the fact that there are no guide lines on the badges.
Here's my attempt at painting them, I did have the odd slip, but thankfully I managed to correct them.

Hi Malc

I’d be happy with those badges mate and all with no guide as well

Nice bit of skill with the brush Sir

Look forward to seeing more

Happy benchtime

Thanks Nap.
I've started work on the jacket and leatherwork, but I'm now on Grandad duty for a couple of days.
Apart from that its a bit too hot to paint anyway.
Fingers crossed I'll be back at the bench on Friday.

I know what you mean about the dodgy hands Malc. I too struggle, I simply don't have the fine motor control I used to have, so stuff like the badges scare me. I think you are doing a great job so far, these look really good. I'd be very happy with them.

Thanks Nigel, your reply is very much appreciated.
