Here are a few photo's of a couple of old fella's which I've just finished after a break of, ahem, a few decades.
They are both Ensign Miniatures 54mm and pretty much straight paint jobs. The Sailor in Arctic kit had the shaft of the axe replaced with wire and I decided to give him a pair of gloves and tweak a few bits here and there. His companion started life as a resin dog from Sovereign 2000 which had the right sort of pose, but needed a few changes. (Nose needed shortening, tongue tail & ears removing and replacing with new from Kneadatite. Shaggy fur coat and 'doggy parts' also added whilst I was at it)
The second one started as a quick touch up, but as with most of these things kind've grew so the only thing still in original paint was the face. (I added a pair of gloves rather than try and match the paint on the face)
Both are painted with acrylics which are a different beast compared the oils I used to use, but I'm learning . . . (I think)
Anyway lots of inspiration and encouragement from the rest of you folks in PF land - cheers
Hope you like them anyway, more on the way
Paul
