Hi Daniel

Great additions with the false arms , very neatly done , the trumpet banner looks great in position

The overall image of the uniform is nothing short of spectacular , I can only imagine seeing the unit in real

Look forward to seeing the bows and the horse

Great updates as always

Happy benchtime

Seeing any of these chaps in full dress must have been an amazimg spectacle .
Cheers Kev.

Hello folks,
After a couple weeks of busy days between family and work obligations i am back to my beloved workbench.

Thanks W!
I am folllowing your project with much interest.
Is it about 75% completed at this point?

I still have the -

Wall to build that goes in front of the patio I just put down.
Extension to the wood store - side - front and roof, and raised up floor.
Work on building a graduated slope where the kitchen garden is - using layers of typing paper.
Fitting my Grass mat over this area.
Make and fit the hedge that goes from the stables to my extreme Right, level with the stables.
Purchase some more French 54th and 55th Line reg troops - paint weather - top coat then place these in the orchard.
Put some odds and ends like loose hats - muskets - backpacks etc scattered around.
Cut the French Cuirassiers off their bases and place the other side of the orchard hedge.
Place my pile of French casualties at the entrance to the Barn.
Finish off making my other single British Cavalry needs painting etc - then place him the other side of the garden hedge.
Place the Lunebourg division remnants in the garden along with a few 5th line KGL wounded.
Then make the trees and fit them in the courtyard.
Any any other bits of touching up where needed.

So yep quite a bit to do yet.

W.

Hi Daniel

Good to have you back at the bench and now styling hair with a fine silk bow

It’s a really lovely uniform and that against the horse colour works so well

Thanks for update ...everything so well researched

Looking forward to seeing more

Have fun @ the bench

Thanks Kev,
I am very happy with the Horse and uniform, took me a lot of hours to work them both.
Cheers!

I've place the trumpeter and horse onto the base, drilled the four holes on the base, cutted the excess metal base on the horse, added some putty and glue on the base hole and voila!.View attachment 491977 View attachment 491978

They look Superb - utterly wonderful my friend.

I have a question about your base - I take its Styrene base you made it from - can PVA glue be used to glue Styrene down onto plastic?

W.

Thanks Mate!.
And to answer your question, the base was some sort of resine, no issue with glue.
I use gorilla glue.
