And lace is done, some areas need trimming but virtually done.
I need to add the silver white edge on the shoulder flaps and then the false sleeves on the back.
The top portion was painted entirely with a mix of Vallejo metal medium, Vallejo silver grey and Army painter chainmail silver.
Then added he vertical lines in scale 75 Dark ocean Blue.
From the waist down, i've used a mix of Scale 75 Dark Navy Blue and vallejo Royal blue, for lights i added more Royal Blue and last lights added a bit of Sky Blue.

Time to start getting this trumpet ready.
I cut the banner size using lead foil,
I added a very thin metal wire behind using glue and greenstuff .
Once dried out, i wrapped the metal wire on each edge of the trumpet as it would and then painted the banner with dark navy blue as a base, the Royal cypher and embelishments will be painted later.
I was a little on the fence about the painting the trumpet in Brass or white metal, i saw few illustrstiins and all of them are contradicting eachother, so, i decided to paint the trumpet in Gold ( Testors) , then will give it few washes of sepia.

Thanks W,
Generally with 40 mm i use very little washes on the uniforms, but i do use washes when it comes to weapons.
Vallejo black for silver or Sepia for golds/brass.

Thanks mate, I tend to use them with my 28mm as things like faces need them for the shadow areas, and also on some areas of the uniforms to get some good deffinition.

W.
