Made a little progress today,
I have added the sword and made the hanging belts using lead foil and a little bit of green stuff.
I also increase the lenght of the coat skirt with a Mix of Greenstuff and magic sculp.
I will follow with 2 light coats of vallejo Brush in primer.

I really marvel at the painting on these diminutive figures, they always look so damn good.

Cheers Simon

Thanks Kev!

Finished the face for this Lifeguard , i am pretty happy with the result.
I have layed the base color using Scale 75 Navy Blue and a tiny dab of Dark sea Blue..View attachment 481922 View attachment 481923

Nice shade of blue, I have used their Deep Blue and use the Navy Blue as a highlight, but I'm guessing that would be way too dark in this scale. His face has come up a treat.

Cheers Simon

Hi Daniel

Good update on this fellow , the face looks great .....and we have eyebrows ....and no doubt eyelashes !

Interesting comment from Simon about the blue and effect of scale

Looking forward to seeing more on the coat

Happy benchtime

Yes, it is true with the blues.
Description for these Lifeguards is that they wore Bleu de Roi coats, hooefully in can achieve that.

I have finished the blues on the coat.
Base color using Scale 75 dark sea blue and dab of Navy blue, added Vallejo Royal blue for lights, las lights added scale 75 Mediterranean blue.
For shadows i added black to the original mix.
Silver lace were done as usual, a mix of Army painter chainmail silver, a dab of vallejo silver grey and few of Vallejo Metal medium to givebit a " pearly" silk look to the lace, i also added a little drop ov Ultra matt varnish to erase the effect of the shiny metal.
I added some texture to the lace by using
a diluted vallejo black ink and drawing the lines with a fine point brush.
